French wedding in Lefkes, Paros
Cicada Studio had the opportunity to photograph a very exciting wedding at the enchanting and picturesque village of Lefkes in Paros. Lefkes, once the capital of the island, is a mountain village, built 300 meters above sea level offering an astonishing view to its visitors. The traditional whitewashed houses -a combination of Aegean and Venetian architecture-, the well-preserved windmills and the narrow marble alleys that resemble a labyrinth, make this village worth a visit.
One of the main attractions-and perhaps the landmark- of Lefkes is Agia Triada (Holy Trinity) church, a fine example of Byzantine architecture made of white marble and easily identified by its unique and recently restored belfries.
This is where our couple Ismène and Tristan decided to get married. The reason was that Ismène’s great grandfather was born and raised in Lefkes, before he moved to France long time ago and they wanted to pay tribute to his memory.
It was a beautiful day that blended happiness, emotion, joy and love. The couple together with their families and friends managed to make the most out of this day and fused tradition with craziness as the pictures below testify.
Cicada Studio would like to thank the couple once again for choosing us to photograph their wedding in Paros. Enjoy their memories…
